Kibar Holdings is an industrial conglomerate based in Türkiye. Originally a sheet-processing company, Kibar’s operations have since expanded to include metals, food, automotive, packaging, building materials, real estate, logistics, and energy.
Kibar’s 2023 sustainability report is an excellent example of how a unified use of colour can distinguish a report.
The horizontally-oriented report uses a 4-column grid with ragged-right text blocks. Paragraphs are separated by a single line, breaking up the text and making it easy to read. The horizontal layouts are emphasised in the choice of imagery—landscapes, flora, and fauna. Images flow across the page gutter and invite the eye to drift across the spreads.
Photographs in the report are processed to match the pastel-inspired colour palette. The subject matter of the photographs has been clearly thought out as well, and carefully matched to the palette. This unification of colour is accentuated by the addition of decorative, solid-colour bars and icons, creating a cohesive aesthetic.
