“The Road Less Travelled”: The Travel Themed Report

It might seem a road less travelled but travel has inspired a number of annual reports – a few have been presented in this week’s Quick Read. Take a look at what’s inside these suitcases and write to us if you discover more on your treks in the world of annual reports.

AIR BERLIN (2007) This report comes equipped with a lovely collection of postcards from myriad locations around the world, coupled with stickers of famous landmarks and cities. The other-worldly cover is a silver suitcase adorned with stickers.

PSA INTERNATIONAL (2015) a classy, sleek suitcase seems to embody the best-in-class services offered by the company. It also innovatively showcases prominent text via split flap display analog system lettering. Travel stamps adorn the interior of the report.

FRONTIER (1998) The weathered look of this leather slipcase certainly embodies the theme of the report: “the road less traveled”. The slipcase, when opened, displays the “contents” of the bag. The report itself is laid out as a travel diary/scrapbook.

INTERCELL (2008) How much can you pack into a single suitcase? This report is filled to the brim with a large variety of souvenirs from different countries, while its cover sports a slightly worn out silver suitcase cover, complete with luggage labels.

INTERWEST (1997) Complete with handwritten removable postcards, this report is a treat to the eyes. It focuses more on nature-based travel photography and makes for an easy read. Quotes from employees are creatively dispersed throughout the report as well.

TED BAKER (2003) The luggage label across the cover page is most prominent. The report is presented as a travel journal, complete with ticket stubs, polaroid images, currency notes, receipts, and other little mementos coupled with beautiful cursive handwriting.
