A printer’s account

This otherwise unremarkable report is noteworthy for its treatment of type as a visual element.

As seen in the images below what at first appear to be simple, decorative lines, on magnification turn out to be closely set text.

Creo, a printing company fills their report with details like this as well as demonstrating their print capabilities on various paper types (the newsprint is particularly fine) using a range of techniques and inks.

Visual appeal is also created owing to a variety of creative marketing techniques used.

The design of the report may not speak to the skill of the company but the quality of the image reproductions is remarkable and it is a shame this aspect of the company’s work is not more generously highlighted.
